Budget Consolidation Training Programme

We've spent years helping Australian households untangle financial chaos. And honestly? Most people overcomplicate things. Our approach strips away the confusion and focuses on what actually matters when you're trying to get multiple debts, accounts, and expenses under control.

Starting September 2025, we're running a focused programme that covers realistic budgeting strategies without the usual financial industry jargon. You'll work through real scenarios, not theoretical exercises.

How We Actually Teach This Stuff

Most financial education programmes talk at you for hours. We'd rather you spend time working through your actual situation with guidance. The structure is straightforward because budget consolidation isn't rocket science—it's just systematic.

01

Mapping Your Current Reality

You can't consolidate what you haven't properly documented. We start by building a complete picture of where money actually goes—not where you think it goes. Most people discover they're tracking maybe 60% of their spending.

02

Priority Sorting Without Guilt

Different debts need different approaches. We'll walk through how to evaluate what deserves attention first based on interest rates, payment terms, and your specific situation. No moral judgments about past decisions.

03

Building Systems That Stick

The problem with most budgets is they require daily willpower. We focus on setting up automated systems and decision frameworks that work even when you're tired, stressed, or not thinking about money at all.

Questions People Actually Ask

We've organized these by where you probably are in your decision process. Because the questions you have before signing up are different from the ones that come up three weeks in.

1

Before You Join

Will this work if I'm currently dealing with multiple credit cards and a car loan?

How much time does the programme actually require each week?

Do I need to share my financial details with the whole group?

What if my income is irregular or I'm self-employed?

2

During the Programme

What happens if I miss a session or fall behind?

Can I get help reviewing my specific consolidation plan?

How do I handle unexpected expenses while following the system?

Is there support between the weekly sessions?

3

After Completion

Do I get ongoing access to the materials and frameworks?

What if my financial situation changes significantly later?

Can I come back with questions months down the track?

Are there follow-up sessions or refresher workshops?

Programme coordinator Astrid Lindbeck

Meet Astrid Lindbeck

Programme Coordinator & Support Lead

Astrid handles the practical side of keeping this programme running smoothly. She's the person you'll email when life gets in the way of attendance, when you need clarification on an exercise, or when you're stuck on something specific.

She spent eight years working in community financial counselling before joining us in 2022. That background means she's dealt with every possible variation of "my budget worked for two weeks and then completely fell apart." Her job is making sure you have what you need to actually finish the programme and implement what you learn.

The sessions run Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm, starting September 16th and running through November 18th, 2025. That's ten weeks total with one break week in October. We keep groups small—maximum 12 participants—because larger groups make it harder to address individual situations.
